Beginnings
The MATMAT story starts in the 1990s in Warsaw, when the father and grandfather of the current owner decided to put their chemistry experience to work and build their own company. In a modest workshop on Odłogi street they began producing the first cleaning products, which quickly earned a following among local customers.
They developed the recipes themselves, combining scientific knowledge with a practical approach. Every product was tested in real-world conditions, which made it possible to create truly effective solutions. That approach remains the foundation of MATMAT's philosophy to this day.
Growth
The second generation took the company's helm during a period of rapid change in the Polish market. Big international brands with enormous advertising budgets appeared, but the current owner's parents stayed true to what they did best: professional recipes with higher concentrations of active ingredients.
They began working with hotels, cleaning companies and hospitals. The B2B segment became the engine of the company's growth. MATMAT expanded its laboratory and production line and earned certificates confirming compliance with European standards.
A new generation
The third generation blends family tradition with a modern approach to business. The company exhibits at industry trade shows, launches new product lines and brings the MATMAT brand into the digital era.
Today, thanks to the matmat.com.pl online store, MATMAT's professional cleaning products are available to everyone. Products that used to be sold only in bulk now go straight to homes across Poland.
Production still takes place in Warsaw, on Odłogi 31. Recipes are developed in our own laboratory. And every product leaving the factory has to meet the same high standards set by the founding generation.
